Laura Bannon (1895-1963)

American author and artist. Born in Acme, Michigan. She studied art at the Art Institute of Chicago, and also later taught there. She began writing books for children in the 1930s and published over twenty titles which she also illustrated, as well as illustrating other author's works. Two of her books featured horses and have quite quirky plots.
